Home Assistant Integration

At Kegtron, we are always looking for new ways to make it easier for our customers to manage their keg systems. That’s why we’re excited to announce our integration with Home Assistant, an open-source home automation platform. With this integration, you can now use Home Assistant to monitor your Kegtron Gen 1 keg monitors.

You may already know about the Kegtron smart keg monitoring system. With Kegtron, you can see how much beer is left in your kegs and monitor your inventory in real-time from your Android or iOS device. Taking the guesswork out of kegs is what we’re all about.

Home Assistant, on the other hand, is an open-source home automation platform that allows you to control and automate all aspects of your home. With Home Assistant, you can control your lights, thermostat, and even your coffee maker – there are literally thousands of different supported devices.. And now, with our integration, you can now monitor the most important thing in the world: beer!

Using the Kegtron integration with Home Assistant is easy. Once your keg monitors are up and running, you simply need to add the Kegtron integration from the Home Assistant user interface. From there, you can see your current keg stats and use that data to see how much beer is left in your kegs. From there, it’s up to you: generate notifications when your kegs are running low or trigger an automation action like sounding an alarm! A near-empty keg is no joke.

Kegtron - Home Assistant Integration

One of the great things about Home Assistant is its ability to be monitored and controlled remotely. This means that you can check on and control your home automation system even when you’re away from home. With the Home Assistant mobile app or web interface, you can view sensor data, control smart devices, and receive notifications from anywhere in the world.

RaspberryPi

If you’re new to Home Assistant and want to get started, you’ll need a few things to set it up. First, you’ll need a supported device to run Home Assistant on, such as a Raspberry Pi. Next, you’ll need to install the Home Assistant software. Once you have Home Assistant set up, you can start adding integrations for your smart devices and automating your home (starting with Kegtron, of course!). For more information on getting started with Home Assistant, check out their Getting Started guide.

Kegtron + Home Assistant = automation, keg stats and remote access. Now that’s a winning formula!
